Located in South Grove in Miami, Florida, this contemporary residence is nestled within the lush landscape of this sought-after neighborhood. Set on a corner lot with a private pool, the five-bedroom home draws on mid-century architectural influences, combining clean lines, considered natural materials and expansive glass with a strong connection to the tropical landscape.
Assure collaborated with the architect from the early stages of the project, contributing to the space planning, interior architecture, lighting design, kitchen and bathroom design, and selection of finishes and materials throughout the home. The studio’s key focus was creating a more intentional sense of arrival and establishing a natural flow between the home’s principal living spaces. The foyer opens directly into an open living and dining area, where generous glazing frames views of the covered terrace and pool, reinforcing the connection between the interior and outdoors which is a key design principle for Assure.
The open kitchen and family room were thoughtfully programmed to support both everyday living and entertaining, with circulation designed to flow naturally between the spaces. Throughout the residence is oak wood paneling that introduces warmth and texture, appearing in the living and dining areas. An integrated door concealed within the paneling discreetly conceals the powder room, allowing the architectural detailing to remain uninterrupted.
Assure designed a custom oak staircase and paired warm wood detailing with a glass railing and wood-capped handrail, creating a refined architectural element. Natural oak wood flooring continues throughout the second floor, complementing the home’s light-filled interiors.
In the primary suite, Assure reconfigured the larger bedroom space to incorporate a dedicated home office, adding flexibility to the room while maintaining a sense of openness. Custom closets and direct access to a private balcony overlooking the pool further extend the suite’s connection to the outdoors.
