COCOPLUM RESIDENCE
PROJECT:
Renovating and extending a recently purchased house for repeat clients, an international couple, and their three children.
BRIEF:
Assure was asked to create relaxed livable spaces for the clients’ Florida lifestyle including rationalizing the layout and designing an outdoor kitchen, home office, separate hang out TV room / study for the teenage children and a brand-new spa bathroom for the master suite.
Furniture from the clients’ collection among them pieces sourced by the studio for other homes (this was the fourth project for the client) had to be incorporated into the new interiors.
DESIGN:
A subtle palette of lace white and stone grey tones was deployed to create an elegant backdrop to family life.
Assure, in partnership with Upstairs Studio Architecture, reimagined the layout and in the process created an additional bedroom. All bedrooms now have ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets.
Floors in white oak create fresh open spaces which are grounded with a dramatic fireplace in smoked silk quartzite. New lighting design indoors and outside define rooms and subtly enhance the architecture.
Furniture sourced by Assure including European pieces, custom silk rugs, and vintage items blend with family heirlooms.
Considered elements ranging from an antique Italian carved stone sink in the powder bathroom to custom made sculptural lighting in the entrance hall, and hand-printed/ hand-painted wallcoverings create a bespoke feel throughout while still remaining a livable family home.
