Decorating an existing neoclassical coral stone house for a repeat client, a couple who needed more space for a growing, social, and active family.
Assure was asked to design comfortable, stylish, and functional indoor and outdoor spaces for a large international family with four children and two big dogs. The large house with a pool needed to balance interiors for entertaining across generations and well-considered outdoor rooms for an active social life along with space for the children. An edit of existing furniture pieces from a previous property and international art brought out of storage were repurposed for this new setting. The client required new lighting fixtures to create warm welcoming rooms and a mix of contemporary furniture to enhance the fresh mood of the house. Assure oversaw the full decoration of the house.
Assure has created cool understated interiors and well-considered outdoor rooms incorporating the clients ‘collection of furniture and art for a quintessential Miami lifestyle. The Studio introduced a serene palette of neutral hues, layering texture and interest via tactile materials as part of a laidback and refined decorating scheme suitable for tropical living.
The paneled living room is centered by a mantlepiece that’s integrated into the wood paneling. Well-considered space planning responds to the architecture delivering a room that functions well despite the many doors.
In the library, the studio designed a flexible space that also doubles as a family room. The decorative light fixture creates a cozy effect. Even though the space is generously sized it retains an intimate yet sophisticated feel.
The family uses the dining room on a daily basis. As a result of Assure’s careful planning the clients are able to enjoy this and every room of the house to the fullest.
A Master Bedroom was created as a quiet space for the couple. Alarge rug in neutral tones provides subtle interest without overwhelming the calming mood. Tan leather, fauxhorn andcotton/ linen blends suit the climate while being dog friendly.
